What a luminous color this English hat pin holder has! It is a very rich solid shade of lavender, in a hexagonal shape. The piece is 5 inches high, 2 inches in diameter, and it has 9 holes in the top, for the insertion of some lovely hat pins. As is typical, there is some slight crazing on the bottom. This is also the type of holder which sat on a dressing table try, as there is a hole in the bottom. While the holder is not marked, it has all the typical hallmarks and style of the English china holders. This is a late era Victorian Hat Pin Holder.
This hat pin holder is from Charlotte's personal collection, which was developed over three decades. She has belonged to the American Hat Pin Society for decades, to continue to learn and associate with fellow collectors. It is time for some of these treasures to move on to new houses!
