Fun and elegance wrapped up in the same package! This piece is from Ben Amun, the designer who is famous for the bracelet he created for Jackie O, in the late 1980's. As with that bracelet, this is about BIG! And in this particular one it is also about the color!
The bracelet is composed of five stations, three of which are oval and two of which are square. Each of the stations is an oversized, faceted piece, made of Lucite, in coloration to mimic real gems. There is one each of ruby red, topaz yellow, emerald green, purple amethyst, and sapphire blue. Each is bezel set. All of the stations are joined via integrated rings on them which hook into place with larger jump rings completing the connection.
Each of the stations has a mirrored back. All three of the ovals have a triangular cartouche, inscribed Ben Amum, with a copyright symbol at the top. The oval faux gems are 1 and 1/4 in wide and 1 and 3/4 in long. The squares are 1 and 2/16 in wide and 1 and 1/8 in long. Most of Ben Amun's jewelry is gold plated and this one appears to be, looking at it with the naked eye. However, there is not a GP marking. The bracelet is fastened with a simple box pressure clasp.
This is just a wonderful over the top piece and is in wonderful condition! Whether with jeans or your LBD, you will be a standout in this sparkler!
