This unsigned stunner is quite a piece of "ice"! While unsigned, it has the hallmarks of a piece by D&E, who designed for many companies, including creating what we designate as Juliana jewelry. This single strand of square white rhinestones, prong set in gold tone metal, is 16 in long.
The "ice" featured on this necklace is a centered blaze of a single festoon. It is 2 in wide and 2 and 1/4 in long. The middle is a large, teardrop shaped, bronzed hued stone. The tip of the teardrop is pointed upward and is prong set. It is faceted, in table top fashion. It is 1 and 1/8 in long and 1 in wide. The teardrop is embraced by a fan of canary colored rhinestones. The bottom half of the teardrop is fashioned of seven chatons, with the bottom most pointing downward. The top half has two very large, round rhinestones, which nestle in the "V" created by the upward pointing chatons. Atop the point of the teardrop are two medium size rhinestones, with one smaller one completing the design.
Each of the canary stones is closed back. The bronze stone is open to the back. These are characteristics frequently associated with D&E designs. The necklace has a simple fold over clasp, which is embellished on the top with three small white rhinestones. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, from the 1960's-1970's. Wear it and they will see you from across the room!
