In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion does NOT sleep tonight! This is an oh so groovy 18 in long necklace, from the 1960's, composed of early plastics. It has a safari theme, featuring a lion and elephant, rampant.

This great piece shows off the animal theme with both the aforementioned being molded in gold tone plastic. They are very realistic in depiction, with the lion roaring and the elephant trumpeting. The elephant is 1 and 1/2 in tall and 1 in wide. The lion is 1 in tall and 1 and 1/2 in long. They fall in the very center of the necklace, being attached to a cream colored curved piece.

Moving upward from the center of the necklace, on each side, is a series of khaki colored discs. Going up to the closure, is a series of graduated cream colored balls. Everything is brought together with a spring ring clasp.

This super fun necklace is in excellent vintage condition. Wear this one and hear the animals rumble across the Savannah!
