Antique delft figure of W. Van Oranje riding on horseback, made in two pieces. The rider has a metal peg to hold him on the horse. The plinth base says W. Van Oranje. Prince William of Orange of the Netherlands died in 1684. This is an early piece dating from the late 1600 to early 1700's. It is marked under the base P p Kan. It is 6 5/8" wide by 3 1/4" deep by 9 1/4" high. It has some minor flecks and wear, as expected in early Delft. There is a small fleck by the V and a minor chip on the underside base edge, as pictured.
