Cherry Center Table from the Federal Period about 1820. The table is made of solid cherry thru out with a highly turned and carved center pedestal with stylized empire feet. It stands 29 inches tall with an ovoid scalloped top that measures 48 inches in length and 35 inches wide at the widest points. The top is a solid , figured cherry, two board top that is book matched. The top is attached to the base with four, square, blacksmith made bolts with hand hewn wing nuts ( see pictures). The center pedestal has the legs attached to the center column with dovetail construction and metal cross pieces with large blacksmith made screws. This table is made extremely well and is in excellent condition. It was refinished about 15 years ago and has excellent finish. This table could be shipped by FedEx Ground by removing the top and shipping in two boxes...please contact me for a FedEx shipping quote. I build free custom boxes for my items.
