American primitive washstand made of ash about 1870. This washstand is handmade using tenon and joint construction on the case and wooden pin construction on the drawers. It has some handmade primitive characteristics and some Victorian characteristics from 1870. The outer case is ash and the secondary wood is pine. The drawer bottoms are nice original pine. This piece has been refinished inside and outside. It measures 34 1/4 inches tall to the top of the back splash, is 30 inches wide and 16 inches deep. It weighs 55 pounds so it could be boxed and shipped FedEx Ground . It has 2 full length drawers over a double door storage area. One door has a primitive door closure. The brass hardware is original. This piece is very solid and made extremely well.
