Oak Barbershop cabinet made during the Eastlake period( 1880). The top 2 drawers have the characteristic pin and scallop joints found on Eastlake period pieces. The cabinet is 40 inches tall by 27 1/2 inches wide and 16 inches deep and original in every way except for the new top. It has two small drawers at the top followed by 2 swing down doors that were used to store towels. The very bottom storage compartment has a perforated metal base for wet towels. All the solid brass hardware is original and has been cleaned to a satin brass patina. The entire cabinet has been refinished in a medium dark patina. This cabinet is one of the BEST and more ornate ones I have ever seen! The cabinet weighs 65 pounds so it could be shipped FedEx or Greyhound Bus. Please ask for a shipping quote.
