This is a beautiful Art Deco diamond engagement ring (or right-hand ring) from the late 1930’s. This ring is made in platinum and has a prong set diamond stone that rests in the center. The diamond, which is a round European Cut, has a total weight of .65 carats and rests atop a beautifully ornate mounting. The stone has an approximate color and clarity of I/VS. Set on the shoulder of each side of the center diamond is a Baguette Cut diamond .04 carats each as well as 2 calibre-cut sapphires that roll into the mounting. The platinum mounting is enhanced by 12 single-cut bead-set diamonds (.02 carats each) surrounding the center. The design is beautiful and unusual and the ring looks stunning on. The inside of the ring is stamped "IRID Plat”. Fabulous openwork, hand engraving and milgraining shine throughout this beautiful ring. The ring is a finger size of 6 ½ and weighs 2.2 dwt.
