A pair of Vintage 1940's Bow Earrings, the earrings are hand made in a method known as repouse stamp where the gold is stamped by a die stamp with the design from the back thus creating the look of the piece. The 4 diamonds in the centre are set in a white gold setting, they are one point diamonds of average colour and clarity. Above and below the diamonds there are six round rubies of 1.5mm in diameter, approximately 3 to 4 points each, total ruby weight .20 carats, the rubies have a nice colour and are relatively clean. The clasp is a high quality omega clip with a added post which if wanted can be removed, both the omega and the earring are clearly hallmarked for 14 karats.there is a slight hole in the connection between the base and the body of the earring that cannot be seen from the face of the earrings, there are a few minor dents reflecting the fact that the earring was worn and loved.
