Darling vintage 1940-1943 Vogue composition Toddles girl doll (or Toodles) dressed in a tagged pink real bunny fur Ginny coat and tam #184 from 1955. Her pink bunny fur coat is tagged "Vogue Dolls, Inc., Medford, Mass. U.S.A., Reg. U.S. Pat Off." The coat is missing the 'hook' and also has a split down the left sleeve along seam-line.
Under her coat, she's wearing an adorable pale mint green organdy dress with lace trim and an attached taffeta petticoat with a back snap closure tagged "Cosmopolitan Doll & Toy Co., Jackson Heights, N.Y. Trademark" which was founded by Kathryn Kay, a former sales rep for the Vogue Doll Company. She's also wearing un-tagged cotton panties, pink socks and vinyl shoes that Ginny wore in the later 50s.
This Toddles girl doll is from 1940-1943, with Doll Co. marking at her center back and nothing on her head. Her right arm is bent almost at a right angle and her left arm is only slightly bent which were characteristics of this time period. She's wearing her original wig over slightly molded hair. She has blue painted eyes, delicate lashes and light brown eyebrows and a closed pink mouth.
Her composition body has some flaking and a few small cracks on her arms, legs and side left foot along with minimal crazing. There's a tiny mold? hole at upper back right leg and where left shoulder connects to socket. Please view images closely and email for any additional photos.
This Vogue Toddles girl looks too precious in Ginny's clothing ~ a delight for your Vogue collection.
