Offered is a 19" antique german turned head shoulder head doll most likely made by the firm of Alt, Beck and Gottshalck.
Bisque head is without any damage, including hairlines. Very nice coloring. She has her original brown blown glass sleep eyes outlined with lots of finely painted eyelashes. Open mouth with four tiny upper teeth. Her head is slightly turned to the right and downward looking. Leather body is in good condition. There is some tape by her left hip joint and upper arm. She has nice bisque hands with slight chip on ring finger of the right hand. No markings on her bisque head.
She is wearing an antique dark orange wool dress with soutache trim. Antique underclothing. Vintage shoes and stockings. Vintage mohair wig. Her dress is pinned up the back no buttons or other closures present.
Doll displays beautifully and has such a serene look on her face.
