Offered is a doll I purchased almost 25 years ago when I didn't know as much about antique dolls! I have kept her for a very long time because I love her entire look!
Approx. 18" tall, she is mold number 1079 from Simon Halbig. Bisque head has beautiful coloring and gorgeous brown blown glass eyes. Eyes have been set. Delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes and multi-stroke eyebrows. Open mouth with four upper teeth. The bottom of the neck appears to have had some restoration, see picture. Otherwise rest of head is very nice! She is on a repainted composition and wood Sonneberg body, the type you see quite often on Belton Type dolls. Straight wrists, it is somewhat loose, I will try to tighten it up a little.
She is wearing a gorgeous antique velvet dress and matching bonnet ~ perfect for the winter holidays ahead. It is a shade of green/brown/gold that is hard to describe! It is lined and is in great condition aside from a few broken threads on the lace sections. Under her dress is her antique slip and pantaloons. Her antique brown shoes are marked '7' on the sole. I did not remove them as I do not want to break the ankle strap.
With her neck flaw, she is offered at a great price with her antique clothing. And no one will even see it.
