Offered is a lovely 15" German fashion doll that was made by the firm of Alt, Beck & Gottschalk, circa 1885.
She has a superb bisque shoulder head without any damage, including hairlines. It is a solid dome type and is mold number 1123. Gorgeous original blue eyes are set and are surrounded by both lower and upper lid finely painted eyelashes. Multi-stroke feathered eyebrows enhance her eyes. Pouty little closed mouth. She is wearing her original blonde mohair wig, somewhat sparse in back, looks wonderful on her. Her body is a leather body with rivet jointed knees and upper legs. I believe the body was replaced on her. The bisque hands are gorgeous, so superbly modeled. One is smaller than the other, but they both appear to be original to this body. This did occur at times when they were using up parts, or a worker mistakenly chose the wrong arms. She has on a matching pair of antique underwear: slip and pantaloons. Vintage dress with ruffling on the bottom.
She displays wonderfully!
