Oh.....she is so adorable! I just love the poodle cut Ginny dolls with caracul wigs!
From the 1953 Tiny Miss Series and the 1954 Vogue Ginny Beach #48 Fun Time Series. Doll is pre-1954, she is not a walker. Outfit seems to be from both series. The swimsuit is the blue knit swimsuit with ships and anchor pattern, but the terry cloth robe appears to be from the 1953 series.
So, it could be a put together set. Freddie the Fish is a replacement as it does not have the Freddie the Fish writing on it.
Ginny herself is a wonderful caracul wig poodle cut doll. Her blonde wig is in great condition. Facial coloring is excellent with bright cheek blush. Eyelashes and brows are light brown. She has rootbeer brown eyes that are in the open position, I have not tried to close them. Mark by her nose in picture was just lint and is not a flaw. She does have light purple discoloration on her neck, see picture. Most likely from the red trim on her terry cloth robe. There is a faint mark on her left wrist area. Body marked Vogue doll on the back. Stringing is a little loose. Her outfit is in nice condition with white and blue rayon Vogue tag on terry cloth robe. Some discoloration of red onto the white where the red anchor is.
So cute and all ready to display!
