A rare Simon Halbig 1279 Mold Character doll ~ and in such a great size!
She is approx. 11" tall ~ just a perfect size to tuck into your doll cabinet! She has a lovely character face and gorgeous bisque. I just love those dimples she has on her chin! She has molded and feather painted eyebrows that are quite prominent on her face. A few tiny rubs on her eyebrows. Her original blue blown glass eyes have been set. Finely painted long eyelashes grace her upper and lower eyelids. A small open mouth with two upper teeth enhance her character look!
She is on her original 5-piece composition walker body. Her head does not move when her legs are moved. Her torso has a crack up the middle of her front and back. It looks like glue has been put in it to stabilize the torso. It should be fine for a very long time to come! A crack also on her left upper leg, see pictures of body for detail. It does have most of the original finish.
Nicely dressed in an antique style wool sailor dress and cap. Replaced fine mohair wig.
She is so delightful ~ enjoy!
