This pair of antique german bisque head Belton dolls are just too cute! I think they must be brother and sister in their matching outfits. So hard to find all original doll such as these and then too find them as a pair is almost of unheard of!
They are approx. 10" tall. Bisque belton type heads with two stringing holes on the closed head top. Mold number 110 is found on the bottom of the back of their heads. Both have little pouty closed mouths and brilliant blue original set blown glass eyes. Her original wig is a mass of blonde mohair, while is consists of the cutest little rolled pin curls! Their bodies are 5 piece composition bodies with painted stockings and shoes. I can't see all of the bodies as I will not remove their original clothing, which is sewn on. In feeling the legs, they have the feel of those 5-piece french composition bodies (if you know what I mean!). Original stringing is quite loose, they can be stood upright in stands.
They are wearing their adorable matching original outfits! As you can see, they have faded to a grayish blue color on the front, while the back shows you the original dark blue color. Cream colored collars and trim accent them. They are made of a lightweight wool and are structurally in fine condition.
Just adorable and so HTF in this original condition!
