Presenting a fruit salad Wreath brooch / pin with glass stones in a Sterling Silver setting circa 1939 - 1948.
This lovely fruit salad brooch measures 1.25" in diameter and .375" in depth and weighs 5.2 grams. The brooch features 11 prong set rhinestones, leaves and applied dot in a textured Sterling Silver setting.
This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no blemishes, missing rhinestones or repairs. The piece is visibly hallmarked ‘V.D. Sterling' an early hallmark attributed to Van Dell Inc. JSP testing solution was used to verify all precious metals which all tested 925/1000 Sterling Silver.
The Van Dell Corporation was founded in Providence, RI in 1939 producing high quality lines of jewelry in sterling silver, gold filled and gold plated metal using rhinestones and other imitation stones, simulated gemstones and cultured and faux pearls since Sept. 1939. The company has been bought and sold many times and continues today.
