Presenting a Early Navajo Turquoise and Sterling Silver cuff in a foliate motif by Artist Timothy Lee circa 1978.
This wonderful cuff / bracelet by Navajo Artist Timothy Lee features two serrated bezel set 12mm x 7mm Turquoise cabochons decorated with leaves, vines and applied beading in a Sterling Silver setting. The body is off - set and on either side are engravings of clouds. The bracelets’ face measures 1.125" x 1" x .125" and the cuff sides are 2.75" long and .125" wide each. The bracelet is 6" long with a 1.5" opening. It’s interior diameter is 2.375" and interior circumference is 5.5" and it weighs 15.3 grams.
The cuff is in excellent vintage condition with no blemishes or repairs. It is visibly hallmarked "Tim Lee" for the Navajo silversmith Timothy Lee. This is a pre 1978 signature. JSP testing solution was used to verify all precious metals. A Presidium Gem tester was used to verify the gemstone. The gemstone was acetone tested for color fastness. This item was examined using ultraviolet light and a microscope. The gemstone is Natural and untreated with anything other than polish.
