Presenting a signed Mexican Brutalist Ring with faceted Natural Aquamarine in a Sterling Silver setting circa 1950 - 1960.
This stunning ring features a 17mm (approx. 18 cts.) brilliant round faceted Aquamarine in a light blue shade. The gemstone is off-set in 5 stylized prongs in Sterling Silver. The band is 7mm (.25") wide and the ring weighs grams and is a size 5.
This ring is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, chips or repairs. It is visibly hallmarked “Mexico 925" (Sterling Silver) a “Eagle with 3" and a unidentified conjoined makers mark. JSP testing solution was used to verify all precious metals. A Presidium Gem tester was used to verify the gemstone. The gemstone was acetone tested for color fastness. This item was examined using ultraviolet light and a microscope. The gemstone is Natural not Lab Created and was most likely heat treated. This is considered a acceptable treatment and is permanent. The treatment results in a clearer gemstone and removes visible green from the gemstone.
