This gorgeous Oscar de la Renta brooch features mixed metal open work scrolls in a oval frame with and applied decorative beading. The brooch measures 2.375" x 1.75" x .375".
This brooch is in mint vintage condition with no blemishes or repairs. The pin is straight and the safety roll over clasp closes securely. This brooch is visibly hallmarked Oscar.
In the 1960s, Oscar de la Renta developed a reputation for his classic and opulent designs thanks to his long, romantic gowns. In 1973 he was named president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and launched the CFDA awards, of which he would later be a distinguished winner in 1990, 2000 and 2007. For the next two decades, the designer would devote his talent to his ready-to-wear collections, including his line of fashion jewelry.
