This little early 18th century door was used to close a niche integrated in the sandstone wall of an old house. It comes from the Rhine Land area, probably southern Alsace.

The door in fir tree is assembled with no nail and the panel is decorated with a typical pattern from that time. A new frame has been readjust in a traditional way to make easier a re-employment. A little and pretty rare extremely old engraved lock has also been added. It fits perfectly. Quite an uncommon set easy to adjust to create a beautiful niche in a interior.

You will notice some woodworms holes that are quite classic on that type of wood when it is very old.
