Here we have an highly collectible pitcher from Alsace (Eastern France), typical of the German tradition in the vein of the Westerwald potteries. It is a charming Alsatian stoneware little pitcher from the village of Betschdorf, dating from the late 1800'. This kind of little jug was made to serve white Alsatian wine. Its capacity is about 1/4 litter. It is in good condition.
