This is a transcendent engagement ring from the Art Deco 1930's era with subtle geometrical features and just the perfect amount of sparkle! This ring is made entirely in 18k white gold and is of cast construction. The ring comprises a transitional round brilliant cut diamond set in a four-prong illusion mounting, flanked by two single cut diamonds in square, milgrain-edged mountings, flanked in turn by two pairs of smaller single cut diamonds, on a half-round shank with scrolled shoulders, measuring from 1.25mm to 1.91mm wide. The central old transitional cut diamond is VS1 in clarity, I-J in color, cut grade: good, measures approximately 4.97mm x 4.97mm x 2.80mm, and weighs approximately .42 carats. The six single cut diamonds are VS1-VS2 in clarity, G-I in color, measure from approximately 1.45mm to 1.80mm in diameter, weigh from approximately .01cts to .02cts each, and have an approximate total weight of .08cts. This ring has a grand total diamond weight of approximately .50 carats. The ring is stamped “18K” and is white gold, weighs 2.6 grams, and is currently a finger size 7.5.
