This unique Edwardian jewel comprises a rectangular filigree mounting with a radiant shield filigree cross design measuring 25.22mm x 17.40mm, bead-set throughout with a total of 59 old European and single cut diamonds, on a graduated shank, the shoulders of which are each set with one diamond, which measures from 1.05mm to 6.68mm wide. The central diamond is old European cut, SI1 in clarity, H-I in color, measures approximately 4.85mm x 4.85mm x 3.15mm, and weighs approximately .47 carats. The 60 smaller diamonds are VS2-I1 in clarity, H-J in color, measure from approximately 1.53mm to 2.96mm in diameter, weigh from approximately .01cts to .10cts each, and have an approximate total accent carat weight of 2.18 carats. This outstanding ring overall has a grand total gem weight: 2.65 carats. The ring is unmarked, weighs a hefty 8.2 grams, and fits like a finger size 7.25 (6.75 on a mandrel).
