This Art Deco amethyst and diamond ring was designed with a regal air. A very subtle two-tone gold ring mounting in 14k light yellow gold and white gold sparkles with a natural amethyst quartz and diamonds. It is of die-struck, cast, and assembled construction, circa early 20th century and makes a lovely February birthstone ring. It is comprised of a bezel-set cut-corner rectangular mixed cut amethyst (newly polished) surrounded by fourteen single cut diamonds individually bead-set within millegrain-edged frames, in 14k white gold, forming a cushion-shaped mounting measuring 16.99 x 15.18 mm, on split leaf-motif shoulders, on a half-round, 14k yellow gold shank which measures from 1.64 to 1.87 mm in width. The amethyst is eye clean, measures approximately 12.42 x 10.20 x 6.06 mm, and weighs approximately 5.49 carats. The diamonds are VS2-SI2 in clarity, G-H in color, measure an approximate average of 1.95 mm in diameter, and weigh approximately .03 carats each. Approximate total gem weight: 5.91 carats. The ring is unmarked. Total weight: 4.5 grams. It is currently a size 7.25 (fits like a 7.5) and is resizable. Jewelry Finds® additional sizing up or down will be determined on a case by case basis so please inquire :). Ring re-sizing takes an additional 3-7 business days. I will be more than happy to email this ring's current retail replacement appraisal upon completion of sale, just ask! Questions are welcomed on ring-2166.
