What an amazing and unusual striking ring from the late 1970's. This enormously gorgeous natural and solid Australian crystal opal and asscher cut diamond ring will leave you speechless! This ring is 14k yellow gold, palladium, with a central citrine and diamond cocktail ring, of die-struck and assembled construction. The ring is comprised of a center oval cabochon white Australian crystal opal, set in a six-prong, yellow gold basket mounting, flanked by two bezel-set square step cut diamonds and six bead-set round brilliant cut diamonds, on a half-round, yellow gold shank which measures from 1.65 to 2.97 mm in width. The opal measures approximately 20mm x 15mm, and weighs exactly 11.25 carats. The two square step cut diamonds are VS2 in clarity, F-G in color, measure approximately 4.13 x 4.13 x (2.48) mm, and weigh approximately .34 carats each. The six round brilliant cut diamonds are VS1-VS2 in clarity, G-H in color, cut grade: good, measure from 1.48 to 1.90 mm in diameter, weigh from .01 to .03 carats each, and have an approximate total weight of .14 carats. The ring is stamped “PALL 14K” and with an illegible maker’s mark. Total weight: 7.6 grams. This ring is currently a size 7 on the mandrel and Jewelry Finds® additional sizing up or down will be determined on a case by case basis so please inquire :).
