This is one outstanding re-designed (I put an opal on it!) large early 1940's diamond setting with an outstanding natural crystal Australian opal and old European cut diamond cocktail/statement/unique engagement ring! It is like an enormous sunset sparkling on your finger! Not to mention it has beautiful scrollwork, milgrain bezel detailing, and set in a lovely two tone 14k gold setting. This bauble is for the BIG RING LOVER and no one will have anything like it! The ring comprises an oval cabochon cut natural Australian crystal solid opal set in eight yellow gold prongs, surrounded by a milgrain-edged, white gold, openwork mounting, measuring 26mm x 25mm over all, bead- and bezel-set with a total of 32 Old European and single cut diamonds, atop a yellow gold, split shank which measures from 2.86mm to 11.75mm in width. The natural and rare large opal displays pinfire play of color in red, blue, and green, measures approximately 14.40mm x 11.96mm x 4.62mm, and weighs approximately 4.68 carats. The accent diamonds have the quality grade range of G-I color, SI1-SI2 in clarity, measure from approximately 1.70mm to 2.12mm in diameter, and weigh from approximately .02cts to .03cts each. The diamonds total .72ct t.w., making this ring have an approximate grand total gemstone and diamond weight being 5.40ct t.w.. This ring weighs 12.7 grams, is unmarked (completely tested and guaranteed 14k white gold top and yellow gold shank) and is currently a finger size 8.25. Jewelry Finds® offers complimentary ring re-sizing + or - 2 sizes! The cost of additional sizing up or down will be determined on a case by case basis so please inquire :). Ring re-sizing takes an additional 1-5 business days. I will be more than happy to email a current and guaranteed certified retail replacement appraisal upon completion of sale, just ask! Questions are welcomed on Ring-1920.
