This is a large, eye-catching antique Victorian find from the late 1800's to wear as a pendant on your own chain. It is handmade of onyx chalcedony, pearl and an old mine cut diamond set in 14K yellow gold. At its center is the old mine cut diamond approximately .15cts, H color, SI-2 clarity. There are 14 akoya pearls 2.5 - 3 mm, cream colored with good luster. The onyx cabochon is shaped as a shield - perhaps to guard the wearer -and measures 38 x 28 mm or 2.25" long. There are also 7 round onyx cabochons (approx.14cts and a triangle on the bail. The pendant weighs 18.2 grams. The back is engraved but illegible. Originally a mourning locket, it is sealed in the back now. Questions are welcomed on Pendant 2910.
