A sensational antique pair of true Victorian natural turquoise and pearl drop earrings in excellent preserved condition. These are great for everyday or to dress up at night with layered pearl and turquoise antique jewelry! These are made of 14k yellow gold, turquoise, and seed pearl earrings, of hand-made construction, circa late 19th century. Each earring comprises a screw back finding with 4.80 mm round gold ball, from which is suspended a fan-shaped mounting bezel-set with one seed pearl, from which is suspended an open diamond-shaped geometric mounting channel-set around the perimeter with eleven square cabochon cut turquoises, surmounted by a scrollwork mounting set with four seed pearls. The twenty-two bright and beautiful turquoises are measure approximately 2.05 mm square, and weigh approximately 0.03 carat each for a total turquoise gemstone weight being .66ct t.w.. The 10 creamy seed pearls are round to near round, measure from 1.36 to 2.19 mm in diameter, are color: light cream, have good luster, and are clean to lightly blemished. The earrings are hand-engraved “1881 E.F.P” and measure 1 ¼” long. Total weight: 3.6 grams. These are for non-pierced ears, please inquire if you wish to make them post backs or wire hanging.
