This piece is made entirely in tested and guaranteed 18k yellow-rose gold, with gorgeous sterling silver and treasured patina holding the true old mine cut diamonds. The brooch measures 2 1/8” x 2” over all, and comprises a Maltese style cross shape set with one round cabochon and four oval cabochon cut turquoise, surface-prong-set throughout with exactly 100 incredibly white and bright old mine cut diamonds, on a removable straight pin back with hook clasp and a fixed pendant ring bail. (A complimentary modern clip-on bail for wearing as a pendant and 14k chain in either 20" or 24" is included - just let us know your choice -see images.) The turquoise have the following approximate measurements and weights: 1) round, 10.12 x 10.12 x 4.29 mm, 3.15 cts; 2) 11.22 x 8.75 x 3.77 mm, 2.66 cts; 3) 10.82 x 8.43 x 4.29 mm, 2.81 cts; 4) 10.68 x 8.12 x 3.74 mm, 2.33 cts; 5) 10.73 x 9.16 x 3.96 mm, 2.79 cts. The adorning diamonds are VS2-SI1 in clarity, H-J in color, measure from approximately 1.37 mm in diameter to approximately 2.90 x 3.02 mm, weigh from approximately .01 to .10 carats each, and have an approximate total weight of 3.60 carats. This magnificent antique heirloom has an approximate (as setting permits) grand total gemstone and diamond weight being 17.34ct t.w.. This diverse piece weighs 19 grams and is in excellent condition for being over 150 years old (Circa 1860's). This is quite a unique and rare conversation piece!
