This is a surprisingly light to wear, natural ruby corundum and 12k gold buckle/fan motif hinged bangle bracelet, of hand-made construction most likely from the late 1800's. The bracelet comprises a hinged bangle measuring from 14.88 to 25.20 mm wide, set at the center with a dimensional fan-shaped buckle motif bead-set with fourteen round mixed cut rubies and two round cabochon cut rubies, with foliate engraving throughout, with an 18k white gold hidden pressure clasp (a later repair). The rubies are eye clean, color: MAG80/30% Black Mask, display 50% brilliance, measure from approximately 2.77 to 3.29 mm in diameter, weigh from approximately .10 to .20 carats each, and have an approximate total weight of 1.80 carats. The white gold clasp is stamped “750 VN 919”. This bracelet fits up to a 7" wrist. Total weight: 30.2 grams.
