Here is a solid platinum, diamond, and synthetic ruby corundum bracelet, of cast and assembled construction, circa 1940’s. The bracelet measures 7” long and will fit a size 6.5-6.75" inch wrist. It comprises fifteen blunted arrow-shaped links, each measuring approximately 12.90 x 10.50 x 6.50 mm, each channel-set with six calibre cut synthetic rubies and bead-set with three round brilliant cut diamonds, terminating in a hidden pressure clasp with fold-over safety catch. The ninety synthetic rubies are eye clean, color: P2R90, display an average of 70% brilliance, measure from approximately 2.56 x 2.33 mm to 4.79 x 2.83 mm, weigh from approximately .09 to .25 carats each, and have an approximate total weight of 14.10 carats. The forty-five diamonds are SI1-SI2 in clarity, G-H in color, cut grade: good, measure from approximately 2.20 to 3.20 mm in diameter, weigh from approximately .04 to .12 carats each, and have an approximate total weight of 3.30 carats. Approximate total gem weight: 17.40 carats. The bracelet is stamped “10% IRID.PLAT 7957”. This bracelet weighs an incredible 36.6 grams. You just can't find platinum bracelets like these anymore!
