Here comes a rare dachshund dog, made of wood (ash), designed, patented and made by Oswald Pontius only 1922-32 at the Munich Zoo Werkstaetten in Germany.
The Munich School of Art was just before the time of 1933 known for their outstanding artists!

This dark brown sausage dog is 26 cm (10.2 inches) long, was made of ash wood and is in good condition for its 100 years which it has on the hump!
His neck, head, tail and legs are fully movable - as are the paws.
Of course, the dog has his brand engraved on the right thigh, you can see it faintly.

This wonderful, very seldom to find dachshund is in a played condition, but the wooden tenons are all there - just his left eye is lost unfortunately! Please look at the pictures!

Having held such an animal in your hands once makes you addicted - for more and more and more!
