In excellent antique condition. fittings which secure from the back of the ear lobe to the front.
Most likely it is the top of a Day and Night earrings. (bottoms must have been lost,)
They are called "Day and Night" earrings, because the tops can be removed and worn on their own during the day, and the bottoms added at night to make more dramatic and more dressy look for evening wear.
