Set of four 19th century stoneware ink bottles, likely English, each with a different silhouette and height to make for a visually interesting, yet harmonious grouping. Neutral color, aged natural texture and simple sculptural shapes make these appropriate for a wide range of settings. Shown on French carved table (also available) with antique Chinese ooromandel screen and modern bench.
The bottles have the characteristic minor spots, variation in tone and slubs that give antique stoneware its sought-after rustic charm and character . Excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks.
Would also be lovely used as a grouping of small vases. Sizes range from 3 1/2" to 4 1/2 inches tall.
