Presenting a pair of large well marked and dated French Limoges C. Ahrenfeld chargers with gilt trim, created and decorated in Limoges, France for sale by the famous luxury goods purveyor, S&G Gump of Francisco in 1918.
Beautiful and elegant French blue latice weave motif and gilt scalloped border is accented by scatered floral sprays in rose, yellow and green around a central bouquet
A classic design that would blend with many settings or would be lovely hung or in a cabinet for display.
Charles J. Ahrenfeldt (1856-1934) was Known for its high quality Limoges porcelain and won the Grand Prix at the Art Deco Exposition in 1925.
These two are slightly different sizes, allowing them to nest. The larger is 13 " in diameter and 1 3/4 " deep, while the smaller has adiameter of 12 1/4 "
Minor rubbing of some of the gilt edging, but in otherwise good condition.
