Portsmouth Square, where the Stevenson Monument still stands, fronts on San Francisco's famous Chinatown - hence the Asian details that embellish the Victorian buildings in the background of the image.
This etching is in warm tones, pencil signed lower right, with the descriptive title "Stevenson Monument in Portsmouth Sqr., San Francisco" on the lower left. Image size is 11 3/4" x 7 3/8", in excellent condition. Double matted and framed with a framed size of 16" X 11". This would be a excellent choice as a gift for a native San Franciscan or a Robert Louis Stevenson aficionado.
