Exquisite set of 8 plus one soup bowls and covered soup tureen made by Fischer & Mieg, Pirkenhammer Manufactory, in the "Imari" style. The plates are painted in deep underglaze cobalt blues and overglaze iron red enamels, embellished with heavy gilt and birds.
Founded in 1803 in Pirkenhammer, Bohemia, Austria by Johann Gottlob List and Friedrich Hocke. The company, known as Freidrich Hoche was sold to Fischer & Mieg in 1859. One of the best porcelain manufacturers in Bohemia. Rare to find this many pieces together.
The soup tureen and cover are in perfect condition. Some of the bowls have some light color losses. One has a small rim chip. One (the ninth) has a larger chip.
Fully backstamped with a rare artist' mark.
