A gorgeous pair of fine early Art Deco diamonds long drop earrings, dating circa 1918 s, masterfully hand crafted in platinum in a classical early Art Deco design.
These outstanding earrings feature on the top a pair well-matched old-cut diamonds of very fine quality, weighing together approx. 1.04 cwt, in the bottom a pair of well-matched old-cut pear-shape diamonds of very fine quality weighing together approx. 2.44 cwt. ; joining the top diamonds and the bottom diamonds an elegant flexible articulated line of lively bright sparkling round diamonds.The secured closures “Alpha” system are a later transformation; made in 18 k white gold.
The earrings come in their probably original gift box; Simonet – Deanscutter a supplier of the Belgian royal house, who obtained three Grand prix at Belgian Exhibitions in: 1905, 1910 and 1913.
Period: Early Art Deco circa 1918 s.
Material: Earrings are made in platinum 950, acid tested, the closure system are made in 18 k white gold; weighing 6.6 gram.
Two (2) pear-shape old-cut diamonds weighing approx. 1.22 carat each, Color D-E (colorless), Clarity VS 2-SI 1.
Two (2) round old-cut diamonds weighing approx. 0.52 carat each, Color G, Clarity SI.
Thirty-eight (38) round mixed-cut diamonds, weighing approx. 0.50 carat, Color G, Clarity SI.
The total weight of diamond is approx. 3.98 carat.
Measurements: length 5 cm (1.96 inch), at the widest point 0.9 cm (0.35 inch).
The earrings come with an appraisal for 22,500 Euro = 28,190 US$.
