This elegant antique Victorian diamond ring was handmade in 18 k yellow gold and platinum circa 1890 s in a classical timeless cluster design.
The ring feathers in the center a round faceted Amethyst with an intense purple color surrounded with nine sparkling bright white old European- cut diamonds creating a white halo round the deep purple Amethyst. The shoulders are encrusted each with two smaller old-cut diamonds.
The charming ring is in very good condition; would make a beautiful engagement ring / gift.
Period: Victorian circa 1890 s.
Material: 18 k yellow gold and a platinum layer, weighing 5.1 gram, acid tested.
Diamonds: 13 old European brilliant cut diamonds weighing approx. 1.70 carat: 9 diamonds measuring 3.4 mm diameter and 4 diamonds measuring 1.9 mm diameter, Color H, Clarity SI.
Gemstone: One deep purple round faceted Amethyst weighing approx. 1 carat measuring 6.5 mm.
Measurements: top of the ring 1.4 cm (0.55 inch) diameter, high over the finger 0.65 cm (0.25 inch).
Measurements including the shoulders: East to West 2 cm (0.78 inch).
