A superb rare Antique Victorian ring circa 1880 , finely handcrafted in 18 k yellow gold and silver on top.
This elegant ring depicts in the center an oval cut natural transparent Ceylon sapphire with an intense royal blue color weighing approx. 1.10 carat, set in a yellow gold bezel setting. The sapphire is flanked at each side with three lively sparkling old cut diamonds. The shank splits in three shoulders embellished with 18 glistening rose-cut diamonds.
Condition: Very good antique condition.
Material: 18 k yellow gold and silver, weighing 4.2 gram, acid tested.
Gemstone: One fine quality oval cut natural Ceylon Sapphire with an intense royal blue color weighing approx. 1.10 carat, measuring 6.2 x 5 x 3.4 mm.
Diamonds: Six old cut diamonds weighing together approx. 0.50 carat, Color H-I, Clarity SI-P1, measuring from 3.1 mm to 2.6 mm diameter, and 18 glistening rose-cut diamonds.
Measurements: North to South 2.1 cm (0.82 inch), East to West 1.7 cm ( 0.67 inch), high on the finger 0.44 cm ( 0.17 inch).
