Antique Victorian diamond snake ring dating from the 1860 s, beautifully hand crafted in 18 k yellow gold, the ring depicts a coiled snake; the head is set with a glistening antique cushion cut diamond, weighing approx. 0.45 carat, the body is forming a double shank. The ring is in very good condition; all black spots seen on the pictures are due to the reflections of the camera !!!
Period: Victorian circa 1860.
Material: 18 k yellow gold, weighing 6.7 gram, acid tested.
Diamond: one antique cushion-cut diamond ,measuring 5 x 4.4 x 2.9 mm ,weighing approx. 0.45 carat, color H (white), clarity I 2, due to its deep antique cushion cut, the inclusions are less visible than it would be seen in a modern cut diamond, the diamond still sparkles very nicely.
Measurements: top of the ring 1.4 cm(0.55 inch) in the length of the finger, 1.5 cm (0.59 inch)in the wide of the finger .
