An unusual Antique Victorian brooch designed as a stylized crystal snowflake dating from the 1870 s, made in 18 k yellow gold.
The brooch is enhanced with 7 lustrous natural pearls and 12 high domed glistering rose-cut diamonds set in closed back silver tops collet settings.
The brooch is in excellent condition.
Period: Victorian circa 1870 s.
Country of origin: European.
Material: 18 k yellow gold and silver layer, weighing 6.7 gram, acid tested.
Diamonds: 12 high domed rose-cut diamonds; 6 have 2.4 mm diameter and 5 have 1.8 mm diameter, total approx. weight 0.40 carat.
Gemstones: 7 natural pearls; 6 have 3.25 mm diameter and one has 4.6 mm diameter.
Measurements: brooch diameter 2.67 cm ( 1.05 inch).
