A Superb elegant diamond pendant from the Art Deco era, handcrafted in platinum over 18 K white gold circa 1920-25 s, and its original chain.
The main bright white European old-cut diamond is weighing approx. 0.45 carat ( F-G VS 1), it is set in butter-cut settings, giving the illusion to look larger, it hangs on an articulated pendant set with 5 round well matched mixed-cut diamonds.
Period: Vintage Art Deco circa 1920-1925.
Origin: European, probably Belgium.
Condition: Very good.
Material: Pendant is made in platinum over 18 k white gold, weighing 1.7 gram, acid tested; the chain is made in 18 k white gold, weighing 2.8 gram, acid tested.
Diamonds: One sparkling bright old European-cut diamond weighing approx. 0.45 carat, measuring 4.8 mm x 4.8 mm, Color F-G, Clarity VS 1, and 5 smaller mixed-cut diamonds, weighing approx. 0.20 carats. Total weight of diamonds is 0.65 carats.
Measurements: length of the pendant with the loop 2.7 cm (1.06 inch), the bottom butter-cup element is measuring 7 mm diameter.
The chain is 50 cm long (19.7 inch).
