This superb sapphire and diamond halo antique ring was finely handcrafted in a classical timeless design, made in 18 k yellow gold circa 1890 s.
The ring features in the center a natural non-heated Ceylon sapphire with a vibrant deep royal blue color weighing 1.39 carat, certified by Carat Gem Lab, France, the glowing sapphire is surrounded with a halo composed of nine white lively old European brilliant-cut diamonds weighing together approx. 1.60 carat.
The ring is in very good original condition, smooth between the fingers; would make a wonderful engagement ring / anniversary ring / right-hand ring.
Period: Antique Victorian circa 1890 s.
Material: 18 k yellow gold weighing 5.1 gram, acid tested.
Gemstone: One oval-cut faceted sapphire of Ceylon origin not heated weighing 1.39 carat, transparent vibrant deep royal blue color, and measuring 6.3 x 7.3 x 3.1 mm; certified by Carat Gem Lab, France ( see photo).
Diamonds: Nine old European brilliant -cut weighing approx. 1.60 carat, color H, clarity SI-VS, and measuring averagely 3.4 mm diameter.
Measurements: top of the ring East to West 1.3 cm (0.51 inch), North to South 1.4 cm (0.55 inch), high on the finger 0.5 cm (0.19 inch).
