Shown here is an outstanding, very old Oriental Screen/Wall Hanging

Each panel is 12 inches wide by 36 inches tall. Each panel has a bronze hangar in an open-work Oriental design. The panels are black lacquer on wood. There is a portion of the original label on one of the panels.

This most unusual rendering of an aquatic and aviary scene is painted on an old gold leaf background. All of the objects depicted have a raised border and each panel is hand painted. When viewed from different angles, the gold exhibits different shaded patinas. Please notice the truly outstanding blending of the hand painted colors.

There are some slight areas of wear on the black lacquered tops of a few of the panels (see photos).

This is a truly outstanding piece of Oriental art.
