We Have here, for Your consideration,a hand blown Morano Art Glass exotic water bird. This lovely sculpture is hollow blown, a very difficult procedure. Although hollow blown,it has thick walls, not at all, dainty. The beak, crown feet, wings, and base are solid glass .I have no idea how the pink / cranberry glass was applied but it gives an impression of feathering. The opaque "feathered"wings were applied, then cased in clear glass along with the rest of the body, giving a smooth, no joint appearance. This bird has to be a very early, mid century piece. It stands 13 inches high, 6.25 inches wide ,and weighs in at a substantial 3+ pounds. Condition:: AS NEW NOTE :Any white spots are light reflections...dark area( last pic) is base reflection.
