Offered here: An elegant example of Murano Glass Art. by AVEM ,which stands for, Arte Vetri e Muranese. The Motif on this bowl,in the parlance of Murano glass collectors, is referred to as "Tutti Frutti" This outstanding work of art was definitely executed by a Master Glass Maker. The center of the bowl exhibits an "explosion" of multi colored "pulled" Cannes resembling feathers. These "feathers" are surrounded by a multitude of Murrines of varying ,color, size, and shape. All of these,"floating"in,and under a heavily cased layer of a rich, ripe wheat, colored glass,which in turn,is supporting a multitude of infused and "floating silver flakes,and silver "sand"..There are at least,Six or more layers of glass involved in this process. There are the expected, shelf scuffs to the base after well over,half a century..There are also, a few small tool marks on the underside,also,not unexpected when The glass artist is shaping a semi molten object of this size,9 x 9.25 inches,and weight: Four pounds..There is also a small dent in the base where the"rod" was broken off at completion.. when the "break is deep,the Artist may choose not to deeply grind and polish out this mark rather than risk the integrity or the piece A beautiful pristine Work of Art..Enjoy !
