Delightful antique water Pitcher dated to early-mid 19th century and believed to be of England origin. Made of white porcelain with gold accents on relief foliage pattern. Where gilding shows no wear, while inside one can see black dots - particles of ash molded in porcelain while in kiln. Beautifully shaped spout and rim, figural handle and leaf formed base make this pitcher fascinatingly attractive.
Pitcher stands 9" - 23 cm high; 5" - 13 cm in diameter at the widest.
Excellent condition, without any damage. Looks like it was on display all that time as gilding, which usually goes off first, shows no wear.
